This book is for the ones who are still in it. Still walking through the darkness. Still surviving things, they don’t have language for yet. It’s for the people who didn’t leave faith because they stopped believing but because believing started to feel unsafe.

Too Dirty for Church was written from inside the dark, not after it. It doesn’t ask you to be healed, sober, certain, or clean. It doesn’t require belief, behavior, or belonging. It exists to hold a light where religion often doesn’t go in addiction, in grief, in isolation, in the middle of nights that don’t end with answers.

For some, this may be the only place they ever encounter God without judgment. The only Scripture they can read without being told to change first. Not a Bible, but a reminder that grace still comes looking. This book is not the destination. It’s a light left on.
